Raised on a farm in South Dakota, Cindy led her Student Bowl Team to win the state championship while obtaining a BS Degree in Medical Technology (ASCP). After graduation, Cindy worked in the Chemistry Lab at Virginia Mason in Seattle for 5 years. During which time she meet her islander husband and moved to Orcas Island 39 years ago. While living on Orcas, they raised and homeschooled their 4 children. Cindy has been actively involved in the Orcas Island and San Juan County communities tutoring homeschool students, working in administrative positions, and wearing a variety of hats in her 39 years of membership at Orcas Island Community Church. In addition, Cindy has served as PCO, Chairman, and State Committeewoman for the San Juan County Republican Party, in addition to a four year term as Executive Committee Member of the Washington State Republican Party. With 4 decades as a registered voter in Washington, her extensive work within the Republican Party, and her years of experience educating and tutoring the next generations, Cindy is uniquely positioned to understand both the needs of we, the people of Washington as well as the political climate in 2026.
